The National Centre for Information and Promotion of Cultural Heritage represents the meeting point proposed by the National Institute of Heritage to all those who are passionate about this field and to the professionals, as well.

Accessible in both physical and virtual environment, the Centre has the goal of getting heritage closer to people and to encourage and support a live community: the community of the people for the heritage.

We have undertaken this guide-interface of exploring and getting involved into the world of Cultural Heritage at the end of 2020, through the project In-Herit – The National Centre of information and Promotion of Cultural Heritage, financed through the RO-CULTURA program, with the support of the EEA Grants 2014-2021.

Together with you, the public who visits and challenges us, the partners of this project – the Foundation Pro-Patrimonio, the Association Da’DeCe and the Norwegian Crafts Institute – and those who would join us on the way, we shall offer relevant information (and verified), useful resources and opportunities for collaboration for an informed, solidary and strong community of the cultural heritage.

We start with a small but valuable group of people – cultural managers, architects, educators and ethnologists, communication specialists and experts in public policies – therefore, with a multitude of perspectives and directions of actions, which reflect the complex reality of the field of Cultural Heritage.

In order to find out what are the real needs of the ecosystem of the cultural heritage, we have undertaken an important public consultation, involving more than 500 people, both specialists of the field and enthusiasts of cultural heritage, between October 2020 and February 2021.

The strategy of the National Centre for Information and Promotion of Cultural Heritage for 2022 – 2026 is based on the conclusions of this report and the directions assumed by the NIH (National Institute of Heritage), given by the mission and the nature of the institution.

If you have not participated in the first step of the consultation, you can further send us your questions, proposals and options as to the necessary data for the understanding and the protection of the Cultural heritage.

The general strategy shall be constantly reviewed and improved, according to the objective necessity of providing relevant, quality information regarding this field.

What does the Centre offer now?

We have prepared so far a few tools for information, education and guiding – the main directions of action of the Centre, the way they were brought to our attention by the public.

The first results of the project are, therefore, tools you may use to become familiar with the field, to solve an issue or to teach others about cultural heritage.

The Salva–Monument Guide and the answers provided by the experts of the INP and Pro Patrimonio are the basis for the app Salva-Monument. The guide takes into account both situations that you may face as person and the issues that are specific to various organizations, both public and private.

The app helps you access the information that you need according to your specific categories of interest. The answers are expressed in a simple and precise manner, to shorten the path from problem to solution. If, however, the answers provided by the app are not enough for you, then we shall take direct care of problem.

The app was developed under the supervision of our partner Pro Patrimonio and it will be updated periodically, according to the feedback that we shall receive from the users.
